Tom’s background is in Sports Physiotherapy. He worked with most of the local sporting teams in Port Augusta, he has sat on the sidelines at Judo and Basketball carnivals, travelled with ‘representative’ basketball teams, and worked in the clubrooms at 2 of the 4 football clubs. Tom is a passionate member, supporter and sponsor of the Norwood Football Club!
From 2003 to 2005 Tom undertook extensive training in Clinical Pilates. He now holds the highest qualification available in Clinical Pilate (level 4 certification) with Dance Medicine Australia. Clinical Pilates compliments Tom’s background in Sports Physiotherapy and his interest in spinal rehabilitation. It involves exercises that target the deep postural muscles, which a help strengthen the spine and restore patient’s movement.
Tom enjoys finding physical remedies for people’s complaints. He focuses on ‘what is causing the symptoms’ and finds that addressing the cause not only eases current symptoms but helps to reduce future problems. With a background in Sports Physio and Pilates all of Tom’s patients leave with some sort of exercise! |
